Title:  AWD  System  Application  Engineer  (Mechanical)
Relationship:
Reporting  to:  Application  Engineering  Manager
General  Description:
Work  with  OEM  customers  and  TTS  engineering  team  in  the  development  of  AWD  systems.  Responsible  for  mechanical  system  specification,  analysis  and  vehicle  integration.  Lead  the  engineering  interface  with  customers  and  act  as  the  focal  point  for  the  coordination  of  all  engineering  activities.

Key  Accountabilities:

?  Present  mechanical  system  design  and  obtain  concurrence  from  customer
?  Ensure  customer  deliverables  and  timing  are  clearly  defined  and  communicated  to  the  organization 
?  Work  with  BW  Engineering  groups  to  ensure  products  conform  to  requirements
?  Participate  in  customer  product  design  team  meetings 
?  Maintain  customer  action  items  list  and  manage  commitments  to  ensure  customer  needs  are  met 
?  Manage  system  requirements  and  conformance  to  customer  specification
?  Support  system  specification  based  on  customer  requirements 
?  Track  open  issues  and  resolve
?  Establish  ADV  Plan  for  mechanical  system 
?  Support  customer  test  trips
?  Demonstrate  new  technology
?  New  Product  design  and  development 
?  Support  vehicle  demonstrations  and  early  prototype  vehicle  as  needed
?  Support  localization  of  components  from  technology  and  heat  treatment
?  Develop  an  intimate  knowledge  of  the  product  to  assure  a  high  level  of  self-reliance  for  issue  resolution
?  Communicate  additional  needs  as  required

Qualifications  &  Requirements:

?  BS  –  Mechanical  Engineering  (required)
?  Minimum  of  3  years  of  powertrain  engineering  experience  (required)
?  Applications  engineering  experience  (required)
?  Minimum  of  5  years  of  design  or  manufacturing  experience  ,special  in  heat  treatment  (required)
?  Experience  with  working  with  customers  (required)
?  Excellent  interpersonal  skills  (required)
?  Excellent  presentation  skills  (required)
?  Excellent  negotiation  skills  (required)
?  Excellent  English  skills  (required)
?  Plus  minor  or  other  training  in  electrical  engineering  (preferred)
?  Vehicle  evaluation  and  test  skills  -  including  limit  handling  (preferred)
?  Experience  with  working  with  Automotive  OEMs  (preferred)
